Obituary

Darold (Don) Hamilton Our family lost our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather on March 5, 2021, when he passed away peacefully at home. Don was born in August 1934 to Jack and Marjorie Hamilton in Bonners Ferry, ID. He was a patriot, as he served in the United States Navy for 26 dedicated years, beginning in 1952. He returned to the Tri-Cities where he worked at Hanford 100N Reactor for another 13 years before retiring in 1994. Don leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Pat Hamilton, along with their four children; Vicki Petty, and her two daughters; Whitney Tonn (Derek) and Meaghan Oliver. Michael Hamilton; Suzi Tarr, and her three children; Tyler Tarr (Kadie), Kayla Suebsanh (Bobby), and Travis Tarr (Ariel); and Brad Hamilton (Lynne), their five children; John Hamilton (Audrey), Shannon Hamilton, Kaitlyn Pollard (Dan), Ryann Flanagan, and Taylor McDaniel. They have 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Ruth Cosgrove, and brother Richard (Dick) Hamilton. Don was an avid Mariner fan and enjoyed playing cards and getting together with his family on weekends. He loved going for walks in the neighborhood and visiting with his neighbors.
