Darnell Lois Mallonee entered the world on January 20, 1969, with bright blue eyes and a big heart. She passed away on March 10, 2025. In life, Darnell was most proud of her children, Tara Mallonee, Jason Mallonee, and Steven Chew, whom she will watch over lovingly from above. Darnell will be deeply missed by her devoted mother, Barbara Sue Ragsdale, and her loving siblings: Kim Lettrick, Konnie Jones, Angela Elliott, and Michael Gamez.

Darnell held a special place in her heart for her three grandchildren: Zoey Brown, Xena Brown, and Eben Brown. If you knew Darnell, you knew she loved to have fun. You never knew what she might say, but it would surely elicit a laugh. Her family had many names they called her fondly, including Boo, Bug Eyes, Darnsmell, Darnelita, and Sharnell.

Darnell was crafty, a night owl, and anytime you saw her she had jewelry and some form of glitter on. Her family and friends will miss her warm and meaningful hugs.

Darnell was preceded in death by her father, Herman Ragsdale.
