Obituary

Daniel "Dan" J. Campbell, age 60, passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2023, surrounded by his family. Dan was born September 15th, 1963, to Dolly and Cleon "Tootie" Campbell and was raised in Pasco, Washington, where he lived for nearly his entire life.

Dan was a gentle soul, a devoted husband and father, and a friend to everyone he knew. He made a career out of driving and helping others, serving as a Dial-A-Ride driver at Ben Franklin Transit for 20+ years where he made many friends from clients and colleagues alike.

Dan had a large and loving family, with whom he loved indulging in hobbies like carving walking sticks, photography, rooting for the Seattle Seahawks, dreaming about Harley rides, and telling stories and jokes.

In 2003, Dan married his wife, Edie, and spent 20 happy years raising their large and blended family of 12 children and loved investing time in them, particularly his grandchildren. In 2019, Dan was diagnosed with ALS, however, he was determined not to let that stop him from living and enjoying his life. Dan continued to spend precious time with family and friends, even taking a multi-day Harley trip out of state.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents, "Tootie" and Dolly Campbell, and sister, Carol "Kay" Babb. Dan is survived, and very missed, by his wife, Edie; children, Stefan (Christi) Campbell, Nikolas Campbell, Melissa (Jim) Estep, Courtney (Charles) Smith, Wayne Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Kara (Ryan) Schmidt-Sheehan, Kristina Campbell, Stephanie Campbell, James Campbell, Bryce Campbell and Nathan Campbell; grandchildren, Ariyana, Emily, Justus, Hannah, Keegan, Liam, Reid, and Reagan; sister, Debbie (Mike) Smilie; brother, Dennis Bartholomew; sisters, Toni and Joni; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held on November 18th at 1:00 p.m. at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home in Pasco with a Celebration of Life to immediately follow at Life Tributes Center, 314 W. First Avenue, Kennewick, Washington.
