Dallin Wayne
Persons
Feb 7, 2009 — May 26, 2026
Dallin Wayne Persons, age 17, passed from this life on Tuesday May 26, 2026. He was born of the covenant to Stephen & Alisa Persons on February 7, 2009, shortly before 4:00 a.m. in Kennewick, WA. Cognitive and physical limitations existed during his life. Despite those limitations, he never gave up, and always wanted to improve and grow. Dallin never recognized many of those limitations, and refused to permit any limitations to restrict his participation in activities or to dampen his outlook on life. Dallin loved participating in Track and Field in middle and high school, and Cross-Country in high school. He competed with dedication and enthusiasm in both sports, and would ask if you saw him run or jump. He also viewed everyone as a human being, without judgement, or belonging in any specific category, as many people do. He would make his rounds at church, seminary, and school to visit with people and have conversations with them. He was such a social butterfly, and didn't like being couped up in the house. He always wanted to do things with his peers, and constantly wanted to be doing something (especially physically or socially) as he had the energy of a "go go go" type of person. Dallin, from his birth, was always wanting to be on the move, and would have an infectious smile on his face. Dallin served faithfully as a member of the Priests Quorum in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Preceding Dallin in death were his paternal aunt Abigail M. Persons and his paternal grandmother Jeanine M. Persons.
Dallin will remain in memory as a joyful spirit, unwavering determination, an inspiring example of resilience, and all will remember the visits he would make with them. His love for athletics and his commitment to faith touched everyone who knew him. Family and friends will miss his presence greatly as he is on his next mission in his journey of eternal life.
