Corey A. DeFord died October 23, 2009 after a short illness. On his final days he was surrounded by family and close friends. Corey was born June 12, 1969 to Doug and Jean DeFord. Corey grew up in Burbank and later resided in Pasco with his wife and children. Corey loved to watch and play sports. He enjoyed watching his son Anthony play baseball. Corey was a life long Broncos fan and never missed a game. Anyone that was around Corey knew that he loved to be surrounded by children and laughter. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; daughter, Kayla; son, Anthony; father Doug Sharron; sister, Danielle Dale Pesina; brother, Doug DeFord; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Corey was very close to his in-laws. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Jean DeFord. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00pm and services will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 2:00 at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home, 1608 W. Court St. Pasco. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union Kennewick. A potluck will follow services.
