Corette Ann Taylor passed away on March 16, 2014 at her home in Basin City, WA. She was born in Afton, Wyoming to Jay and Corine Casper on November 24, 1956. Mom spent her youth in Idaho Falls, ID. She attended Ricks College where she met her husband, Ivan Taylor. After Dad graduated from college they moved to Basin City, WA where she began raising her family of seven daughters. Mom had a keen sense of humor that brightened people's lives at unexpected moments, it was especially apparent as she courageously endured the effects of ALS. Mom touched the lives of many family and friends with her unique ability to understand people. She had an art for finding those in need of a friend and listening ear. Mom's greatest joy in life was to be a Mother and Grandmother. She loved every stage of life her children went through. She was our biggest support and greatest cheerleader. Mom was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held a variety of callings and especially enjoyed working with the youth. Mom is survived by her husband, Ivan Taylor; daughters Sarah (Ricardo) Jimenez, Corissa Taylor, Hannah (Jake) Shaw, Kersten (Russell) Ellsworth, Leisl (Luke) Sullivan, Kathryn Taylor, Rachel Taylor; 15 wonderful grandchildren; her parents Jay and Corine Casper and sisters Jayetta (Rick) Rasmussen and Colette Casper. She was preceded in death by her sister Lenette Casper. A special thanks to all the wonderful caregivers, for the love and care given to Mom.
