Constance Joy Denslow passed away on December 21st, 2008 at the Chaplaincy Hospice in Kennewick, Washington. She had been battling complications from meningitis. Constance was born on July 20th, 1942 to Wilson and Ida Mae Michaud of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Her father served in the Army and the family lived in many different places during her formative years. Eventually, she found her way to the University of Washington, where she would meet her future husband Robert at the School of Pharmacy. The Denslows came to live in Kennewick in 1966. Despite possessing a full pharmacy degree, Constance decided against carrying the title of Pharmacist. Instead, she worked as a Pharmacy tech so she would have more time to devote to raising the couple's son Christopher, who was born in 1969. The Denslows eventually partnered with another pharmacist to open a store across from Richland's iconic Tastee-Freez drive-in. Medical Center Pharmacy, as it was called, proved to be successful and led to another pharmacy being opened. Constance kept the financial books and worked through the complex field of billing medical insurance for both stores. Upon retirement she embraced a number of hobbies. She enjoyed watching the wild birds in her yard and kept them well fed. She became a master of making all sorts of craft goods. Dubbed "Connie's Creations", the items became much in demand and were enjoyed by family and friends. She then progressed to making glass beads and enjoyed showing off her newest creations. She is survived by her husband Robert, son Christopher, brother Steven, sister Judy and mother Ida Mae. A memorial service is planned for a later date in the spring.
