Connie was born in Pagosa Springs, CO on August 4, 1933 to Dolores (Lola) and John Michaud. She was born 6 weeks premature, weighing only 3 pounds. Because she was so small she was not expected to live, so the doctor told her mother to name the baby quickly, and he signed her death certificate before the birth certificate. The only name her mom could think of was Constance after the movie star at that time, Constance Bennett.

In those days there were no incubators or NICU. Her Aunt Desiree went to all the neighbors borrowing red rubber hot water bottles. Filling them with heated water, they lined a laundry basket with them and blankets, laid her in the shoe box in the laundry basket and covered it. It is a miracle she survived. At 6 months she weighed only 6 pounds. God had special plans for her.

Connie started school at 4 years of age at the Manitou Elementary School in Manitou Springs, CO. In 4th grade the family moved to Aurora, CO. In 1943 her dad took a job working on the Manhattan Project and the family moved to Hanford, Washington. They lived in small travel trailer at Camp Hanford, where she attended Camp Hanford School.

In 1946 they moved to Manteca, CA., then on to Raton, NM where they settled briefly. In December, 1947, the family moved back to Kennewick, WA where she attended Kennewick Junior High and Erwin S. Black High School, now known as Kennewick High School.

Connie met Robert (Bob) D. George in the fall of 1950 during her junior year of high school. Bob had graduated from Kennewick High in June and joined the United States Navy in the Spring of 1951. They were engaged that April and married August 30, 1951 in the First United Methodist Church in Kennewick, when he was on leave. It was a wedding in pink and white.

After high school graduation in 1952 Connie joined Bob in Kodiak, AK. From their house they could walk out their back door and ice skate on a frozen lake, and from the front door, you could look down about 150 feet to the ocean.

In 1953 they returned to Kennewick as Bob's dad John George Sr. took critically ill, but survived. Their first child, Laurie was born in July that year.

The following year found them living in Navy housing in Long Beach, CA until Bob was honorably discharged from the Navy.

Returning to Kennewick in 1954, Connie helped the George family on their farm. Their second child Mark was born in November 1956, followed by Kenneth in January 1959, and Glenna in January 1961.

Connie accepted Jesus Christ as Savior when she attended Bible Study Fellowship in 1975. She attended First Baptist Church of Kennewick, now known as South Hills Church.

Connie worked as a telephone operator for GTE before driving school bus for the Kennewick School District. In 1983, they purchased property in Hood Canal, WA., and a few years later a cabin at Tollgate, OR. Many fond family memories were made at both locations. In 1995, they became snow birds traveling to Yuma, AZ. until 2002. They sold the family farm in 2006 and had a house built in Pasco.

Connie was called home by her heavenly Father December 15th, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years Robert D. George, son Kenneth, her parents, and her brother Jim. She is survived by children Laurie Barger (Jack), Mark George (Marcy), and Glenna Hawley (Devin). Tammy George, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
