Connie Belynn
Rivas
Apr 30, 1958 — Apr 25, 2024
Connie Belynn Rivas, 65, of Kennewick, Washington went to be with her Lord on April 25, 2024.
She was born on April 30, 1958, to Joe and Barbara Rivas in Kennewick, Washington. She graduated from Riverview High School, Finley, Washington, in 1976.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
At the early age of 9 years old, she started attending Riverview Baptist Church. As a teen she accepted Jesus as her Savior.
Connie loved baking, camping, singing, horseback riding, softball, and the nursing home ministry in her younger years.
Her daughter, Rebekah, remembers….
"Mom was a giver. When she made food, she made it for many, and she loved to share. At my brothers' baseball games, mom would make a lot of hotdogs, put them in her cooler, and give them out for free at the baseball games to all the kids and whoever wanted one. Mom loved red vine licorice; she always had a sweet tooth. It was why she loved to bake. Her favorite color was purple, and she loved lilacs but was very allergic to them."
Connie is survived by four sisters, Jeanne, Esther, Teri, and Shirley, and two brothers, Danny and Steve; her three children, Alan Gerhard (Yukari), Rebekah Osmun, and James Gerhard; and five grandchildren, Jackson, Jacob, Alekai, Roxanne, and Kapri.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Barbara; stepfather, (Dad), Louis H. Chavez; two sisters, Betty Jo and Sonya; and her son, Leo Gerhard.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to KOLU radio in care of Riverview Baptist Church.
