Merchant Marine Veteran Clyde H. Garren – father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend. Clyde H. Garren, beloved son of Nellie and Edward Garren, was born on November 30, 1927 in Scranton, Pennsylvania and was welcomed home in the Lord's loving arms on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Clyde was always a hardworking man who took great pride in tending to his family. He was always a gentleman with a firm set of morals and he shared 58 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Margaret (Midge). Together with love, patience and humor, they raised 5 children. They traveled extensively and shared many adventures. Clyde was Honorably Discharged from service in 1949. He proudly served as a member of the VFW and the Merchant Marine Veterans Association. Clyde was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret, his sons, Walter A and John A. Garren and survived by his children Glenda H. Arbis, Debra A. Garren, Diana M. Garren-Kemp, his 12 grandchildren and his 8 great grandchildren. A memorial mass will be Saturday May 19, 2018 at 12:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 520 S. Garfield St., Kennewick, Washington with a reception to follow at the family home 2102 S. Arthur Loop, Kennewick.
