Obituary

Clyde Beamer was born on January 29, 1922, to Peter and Emma Beamer, in Freewater, Oregon. He had a brother, Burt and two sisters, Helen and Agnes. Dad met my mother, Noreen Townsend in Hermiston, Oregon and they were married 69 years. They moved to Pasco, Washington in 1951 and had three children, Lynn, Bruce and Karen. He spent most all of his life working in the transportation business, starting out as a log truck driver and then driving tanker trucks, hauling fuel during WWII. He continued in the tanker business, working for Inland Transportation until he retired in 1985. Dad was always a kind, gentle and fair man, and was loved and respected by those whose lives he touched. He taught us kids the lessons of hard work, honesty, love and The Golden Rule….to treat others, as you would have them treat you. He loved fishing, hunting, going out to the river and cutting firewood and traveling in the RV with Mom after he retired. Dad lived a long time, did a lot of things, had a wonderful wife and family and lots of friends that he loved a lot, and we will miss him dearly, but we will celebrate him and his memory forever. Our sister Lynn preceded him in death. The Beamer family wishes to acknowledge with great appreciation and love, Mike and Cindy Broughton, who have done so much for Mom and Dad not only as neighbors and friends, but also as part of our family. Thank you Mike and Cindy The graveside service will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 at 1:00pm at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick.
