Cledia Elizabeth Bass, age 90, of Pasco, Washington passed away on Sunday July 19, 2009 at From The Heart Assisted Living where she resided for the past 8 years. Born May 21, 1919 in Kirksville, MO, she was the daughter of Ada Isabel Fowler and Walter James Scott. She married Francis Edward Bass in Lewistown on April 30, 1938. Francis and Cledia were farmers who moved their family to Pasco, WA in 1955. There, they purchased land in Irrigation Block 15 and continued to farm and raise their family, eventually adding two daughters-in-law and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents, 4 siblings: Leon Douglas Scott, Beulah Inis Shelton, Dorothy Irene Rossiter and James Leroy Scott, her husband, Francis, and first born son Larry Francis Bass. She is survived by one brother Harold Junior Scott, her son Terry Kevin Bass and his wife Dixie Marie Cloud of Pasco, WA, 3 Grandsons, Larry Edward Bass Wendy of Twin Falls, ID, James Francis Bass Paulette of Pasco, WA, Ricky Ray Bass of Juneau, AK, one granddaughter, Ronda Fae Morrell Jason of West Richland, WA, 8 great-grandchildren, Crystal Lorraine Robinson, Larry Francis Bass II, Clayton Robert Bass, Daniel Scott Bass, Terence James Bass, Brandon Lyle Bass, Erin Leigh Bass, Nicholas Scott Morrell and Grace Arynn Morrell as well as several great-great-grandchildren. Cledia's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the ladies at From The Heart for the loving care they provided Cledia during her long battle with Alzheimer's. Services will be held for Cledia on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick, WA at 9:00am. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Alzheimer's research or your favorite charity.
