Our dear friend's life was unexpectedly taken on 3 May, 2022, in his home. Clayton (known to many as Clay) was born January 8, 1946, in Duluth, Minnesota. Graduated from Central H. S. in Duluth and went on to complete his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 1968. Following graduation, Clay promptly joined the US Navy completing four years' active duty and 16 years' reserves. Clay had served as an Operational Officer on the USS Francis Scott Key, Nuclear Submarine. Clay went on to work as a civilian Nuclear Engineer in the Tri-Cities for more than twenty years. Through over sixty plus years of his life he was always involved in his musical endeavors that he was dedicated to which included playing for many Orchestras, plays, symphonies and so many more events! Clay was a witty, gentle man with a ginormous heart and an eagerness to help and serve those around him to include investing in a specialty goat farm. He was a friend, mentor, teacher, philanthropist and patriot! He was preceded in death by his parents, Oswald (Ozzy) Wick and Dorothy Pearce Wick and leaves behind too many to count (like family) friends…like Mike Lakey, wife Dawn, their children Ryan, Andrew, Jennifer and Keiyawna. Mike and Dawn's grandchildren Echo, Ryder, Ryan, AdahLeigh, Mason and twins Christian and Charlotte. Also, many more friends like Linda, Darren, Greg and ALL his Symphony, Plays, and Orchestra friends! He will be celebrated by a service of remembrance on Saturday, 4 June at 1pm at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick, WA. We ask that all memorials in lieu of flowers be given to the Crime Victims Advocate of Washington
