Obituary

Clark Eugene Henderson passed away on March 7, 2013 in Sprague, WA. on his way to his heart doctors appointment in Spokane, WA. Clark was born on February 26, 1941 in Torrington, WY to Morris F. Henderson and Elton E. Galloway. Clark was one of four children. Clark married Cherie (Cher) Elvrum in August of 1960. They met in High School and dated for 3 years before they married. Clark was awarded 3 College Football Scholarships, but decided to stay with Columbia Basin College as he liked the coach. Clark and Cher had two children Mark O'Neil Henderson and Kerri Rae Lampson. In 1961 Clark joined the Army Reserves for 7 years. Clark worked for Boeing for 2 years. Boeing transferred him to New Orleans, LA. to work on the Minute Man Missile. Upon our return home, Clark was owner operator of Clark's Truck Stop in Pasco. He then went to work as a Teamster, driving tankers for many different companies. In 1971 Clark and Cherie went into the Dairy Queen business running, owning and operating the Richland Dairy Queen until 1980. Between running his D.Q. he also overseen the Pasco and Clarkston, WA D.Q.'s. Upon selling the D.Q. he went back to tanker driving until 1993. In 1993 he went to work for Fluor Daniel N.W. as a Teamster. Clark was a Teamster for over 40 years. Clark retired from the Hanford Area in 2003. Since 1994 Clark had many health problems and with this came his declining health. Clark was proceeded in death by his father Morris F. Henderson, sisters, Sharon L. Holden and Mary F. Aspen. Clark is survived by his brother Gary, and mother Elton. His son Mark, daughter Kerri (Josh) Lampson, 2 grandchildren Tayleur and Jourdann Lampson. Clark was also lucky enough to be able to enjoy his 2 Great-Grand Children, Kennton A. Lampson and Kaiah R. Lampson-Walthers. Our family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr's S. Wadhwa and Dr. T. Westhusing. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 18th at 1:00pm at Mueller's Funeral Home on 10th & Union in Kennewick, WA.
