Clara Pidcock Mathers was born in Seattle, Washington May 18, 1917 to Emma and Harvey Pidcock. She passed away peacefully in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 21, 2008 while at Richland Rehabilitation Center/Eagle Assisted Living where they were so compassionate in caring for her. Her life was full of much happiness and many accomplishments. She was raised in the Methow Valley and graduated from Twisp High School. On July 27, 1942 she married Dale Mathers of Chelan, Washington. They moved to Kennewick in the late 1940's where Dale had a Plaster Contracting business of which Clara always spoke highly of. They owned and operated the first grocery/hardware store in Finley. Clara was a hairstylist and set up and ran her own beauty shop, "Claire's Beauty Shop." First Christian Church is where she attended and was faithfully baptized on July 27, 1980. The Lord blessed her with many talents. She loved square dancing, sewing and was a great artist. She also took much pride in her beautiful yard and home. Her dogs and cats were very important to her and she was a loving master to them. She loved her family each and every one and was so thankful for her kind neighbors, and friends. We will miss her - God keeps His Promises - we will see you again. Survivors include one sister Violet Mathers and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, two brothers Dick & West Pidcock; and one sister Theo Roe. Viewing will be Sunday, July 27, 2008, 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home located at 1401 S. Union Street in Kennewick. Funeral services will be Monday, July 28th, 3:00pm, also at Mueller's with interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
