Cindylee Jeune Jakubiak

April 25, 1986 – February 21, 2026

Cindy was born in Tacoma, Washington to Dan and Carolyn Jakubiak. She was the youngest of 5 children, and she loved being the baby of the family. The three sisters decided Cindy was "the pretty one." Her grandpa Lejeune, after whom she was named, passed away when she was 3, but she still had Grandma living in the converted garage right out the back door. She had Aunt Ginny and Uncle Buddy and cousins Laura and Jake living a short walk away in the college apartments where we could pick blackberries or read books and play on the typewriter in the library. Cindy and Laura were like twin sisters. Those two blondies were the cutest things you have ever seen.

In 1994, the family moved to the Tri-Cities and joined Grace Baptist Church in Kennewick. In October 2000 Cindy became an aunt when God blessed Dan with Alex. Cindy loved all her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed painting. Cindy studied to receive her G.E.D. and went to Word of Life Bible Institute in New York, after big brother David came back with glowing reports. While on Christmas break in 2007, she traveled to Portugal to visit newlyweds Cathi and Davy. She then spent a great summer living with big sister Carrie, taking art classes and eating bagels. Cindy then moved to Redding, CA where she and her "twin sister" Laura teamed up for more grown-up escapades like cruising down to L.A. in Laura's white Pontiac. Unfortunately, it didn't have quite enough gas in it to make it all the way down the Grapevine...

Cindy later returned to the Tri-Cities where she met Joe Quigley in 2009. They had Dominic in 2012. She was a doting mother, trying to follow all the instructions like not using the microwave to heat the water for Dominic's bottles. She and Dominic moved in with David and Katrina and their children for a short time before she went back to live with Joe.

In June 2025, Cindy's health took a turn for the worse. God used her stay in the hospital to get her attention. She finally stopped running away from Him and started going to church again. Dominic and Joe even came with her this time. Dominic is enjoying being a part of the youth group at Grace and has come to know Christ as his Savior.

Cindy is survived by her beloved son, Dominic and best friend, Joseph Quigley of Kennewick, WA, her siblings Carrie (Dana) Anderson, Cathi (Davy) Costa, Dan Jakubiak, and David (Katrina) Jakubiak, her Aunt Ginny and Uncle Bryant Williams, her cousins Laura (Josh) Brown and Jake Williams and nieces and nephews Alex, Eli, Amaya, Karileena, Becca, Mikalina, Evanjelena, Pedro, Benny, and Rachel and grandniece, Elena. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lejeune and Joyce Reynolds, and her parents, Dan and Carolyn Jakubiak and her unborn child.

Cindy will be missed by her family and friends. We are thankful she is healed and with the Lord.
