Cindy Ann Mackay passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 30, 2022 after a lingering and lengthy illness. She was 65.
She was born February 8, 1957 in Othello Washington, to Glen and Norma Eppich. Their fourth child and second daughter. She grew up on the family farm on Royal Slope. On November 25, 1977 she married Kent P. Mackay in the Ogden Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They chose to build a life together in Basin City. Children soon followed with five being born to that union between 1978 and 1987: Brandon, Brie, Chad, Brooke and Trevor.
Cindy dedicated her life to God and family. She loved being a wife and mother. She loved her children and was their greatest advocate and champion. Cindy was a fabulous wife and companion to Kent for 44 glorious years.
They were an inseparable team and built a life of love, founded on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Together they forged lasting relationships in their church and community, and served in various facets of the church's Institute and Pathway programs. Their labors took them across the world where they served a mission in Sydney, Australia. Kent and Cindy loved their Friday night dates together, serving in the Columbia River Temple.
Cindy endeared herself to many through countless acts of service. She was a woman of compassion, integrity, and unconditional love. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and showed that by the way she lived each day. She loved to make things beautiful. Her mantra was to always leave everything a little better than you found it. This world truly is a better place because of her and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her Husband Kent, Children: Brandon (Julianne), Brie (Chad Davis), Chad (Diane), Brooke (Mitch), and Trevor (Whitney), and 17 grandchildren (and 1 on the way). Brother: Lynn Sisters: Irene and Darla
Cindy is preceded in death by her brother Lee, mother Norma, and her father Glen, with whom a joyful reunion has occurred; a reunion that has been greatly anticipated for many years.
Goodbye for now, our beloved Cindy. Until we meet again...
