Christine Margaret Lockhaven Martz peacefully passed away on November 22nd, 2023 in Kennewick, WA at the age of 77 surrounded by her family. She was born May 2nd, 1946 to Walter and Rosemary Lockhaven in Pendleton, Oregon.

It would be wrong to say that Mom lost her battle with cancer because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was determined that there was more life for her to see. When anyone else would have broken, she stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. She matched any and all of life's challenges with grace and quiet tenacity. Her life was a testament to the idea that even in the face of adversity, one can choose to embrace joy and find beauty in the simple things.

Chris is survived by her children: Dana Reeder (Jeff), Tami Rigsbee (Cliff), Jerry Hardy (Wendy), and Jason Hardy (Becky). Grandchildren: Jordan Reeder (Brooklyn), Taylor Reeder, Madison Meyer, Macy Daniels (Jake), Miles Rigsbee (Tori), Megan Hardy, Bailey Hardy, Tyson Hardy (Brittany), Gabi Hardy and Sami Hardy.

Great-Grandchildren: Mia Daniels, Ella Daniels, Luca Daniels, Jaxon Reeder, Carter Reeder, Banks Reeder, Brixton Hardy, Hudson Hardy, Riley Sanchez and two more on the way. Siblings: Steve Lockhaven, Robin Kester (Jim) and Brooke Lanigan (David).

Chris is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Rosemary Lockhaven, her grandson Jeffrey Reeder, and her niece Alyssa Longwell.

As we mourn the physical absence of our Mom, let us also celebrate the legacy she leaves behind. It is a legacy of love, resilience, and the enduring power of family bonds.
