Chelsi Dawn Zorn, a beloved daughter, sister, mother and friend, who left this world on August 3, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on November 3, 1989, in Richland, Washington, to Kimberly Poitras and Dean Zorn.
Chelsi was a proud and devoted mother to four beautiful children: Kater, Kylinn, Deacon and Dausyn. Her children were her greatest joy and the center of her world. She dedicated herself to nurturing, supporting, protecting, and loving them unconditionally. Becoming a mother to twin girls in 2009 transformed her life, and her children became her greatest purpose. Her strength, kindness, and unconditional love will live on through them as they carry her legacy forward.
Chelsi attended Kamiakin High School and graduated from Charter College in 2015, where she earned her degree in Criminal Justice. She later discovered her passion for helping others in the medical field with Ideal Option. For eight years, Chelsi served as a Patient Care Coordinator, always going above and beyond for every patient she encountered. She had a natural ability to make people feel heard, understood, and cared for. It was not unusual for her to spend two hours on the phone with a patient as they opened up and confided in her. Her family often joked that she should have been a counselor -- and anyone who knew Chelsi understood exactly why.
For nine beautiful years, Chelsi shared her life with her partner, Rodney Dean. Together, they enjoyed country concerts, traveling, discovering new places, and creating memories as a family. Chelsi loved experiencing life and making memories with the people she loved the most.
Chelsi is survived by her four children, Karter and Kylinn Zorn, Deacon Zorn and Dausyn Dean; her mother, Kimberly Poitras; her father Dean Zorn; her sisters, Shavon Poitras and Danika Hurst; her grandmother, Christy Smith; her grandfather Don Poitras; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends who loved her deeply.
She was preceded in death by Theola Gress, Jim Smith and Jacque Poitras.
As we mourn the loss of Chelsi, we also celebrate her incredible life she lived -- a life filled with love, laughter, compassion, and kindness. Chelsi had a vibrant sense of style and personality that was uniquely her own. She embraced life boldly and brought her own life and energy wherever she went.
Though her time with us was short, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will remain forever. Her greatest legacy will always be her children, who carry a piece of her heart with them every day.
