Charles Boie Sleater, 78, of Kennewick, WA, passed away on 5/10/2025. He was born on 9/3/1946 in Pasco, WA. He was a devoted husband for 55 years to Ruth Sleater, and a loving father to his children, Robin Dailey (Ted Dailey), Cindy Sleater, Tina Sleater (passed away in 1972), Dawn Hines, and Charles Sleater Jr (Amy Sleater). He was so proud of his 11 grandchildren, Randy Dobson, Ryan Dobson, Jake Dobson, Michael Johnson, Lindsey Dailey, Brooklyn Allen, Brittany Hines, Ashlee Hines, Chloe Sleater, Macy Sleater, and Logan Sleater. He also loved spending time with his 10 great grandchildren. Chuck enjoyed hunting with his son and grandsons and was proud to be a lifetime member of the NRA.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965-1969. While serving his country in the Vietnam War, he received the Purple Heart Combat Award, the Navy Achievement Medal, and was also promoted to Sergeant meritoriously for his bravery, skill, and dedication, he was an expert marksman in the Marine Corps.

Upon returning home from active duty, he worked as a firefighter for the City of Pasco, Local 1433, from 8/9/1973 - 7/31/1989. After retiring he loved spending time in his garage working on projects and going through his many collections.

Although his passing leaves a huge void in our family and we will miss him immensely, we are at peace knowing that he is pain-free and in the loving arms of Jesus.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 10:00am, located at Mueller's Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St. Kennewick, WA.
