Obituary

Charles Richard "Dick" Miller, 70, of Kennewick passed away peacefully on April 29th, 2014. Richard was born January 20th 1944 in Idaho Falls, ID. His family moved around Montana for several years and then settled in Warden WA. He grew up working on the family farm and graduated from Warden High School. He was a proud veteran and served his country honorably in the Army. Richard was a crop duster & pilot in the Tri-Cities area for 20 years. He was also a Reserve Officer for the Franklin County Sheriff's Department for 10 years. He was a remarkable man, proudly raising and supporting his granddaughter Kristine for the past 30 years. He is most remembered for his positive attitude despite his valiant battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert & Kathrine Miller, brother Robert Miller, and step-son Alan McClure. He is survived by his Sisters Claudia Clifton & Claudette Gard, step-son Kenneth McClure, grandchildren Patrick Smith & Kristine Templeton, and 6 great-grandchildren. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice Care. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday May 31st at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 820 S Buntin St, Kennewick WA. Graveside services will be held at 3pm Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden WA.
