Charles Edward Hicks, 68 of Kennewick, WA, passed away on July 06, 2026. Born on January 23rd, 1958 in Ruston, LA he was a cherished son of the late Grady and Jimmie Hicks of Prosser Washington. Charles was a remarkable soul, and had a special fondness for cookies, sports, his surviving daughter Savannah and grandchildren, Ezera and Georgia. He spent much of his time caring for them as a devoted Father and Grandfather. His nurturing nature resulted in those who knew him remembering Charles as a kind soul who treated those around him with respect, love and grace. He found great joy in giving to others, being playful, dancing, using his mind analytically and strategically both of which he did daily in his 35-year career as a contract Nuclear Design Engineer at Hanford, Battelle Tri-Cities, and multiple facilities around the country. He graduated from Prosser WA Highschool in 1977 where for multiple years he ranked #1 as State Wrestling champ. Charles “Charlie” “Chuck” Hicks attended Columbia Basin College and Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA where he studied Mechanical Engineering. His family was the center of his world, and the love he shared with them will remain a lasting gift. We are thankful for his presence in our lives and be continued as a treasured legacy of love, selflessness, and peace. May his memory be kept alive by all surviving family, friends and colleagues.
