Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Chad Cannedy, 58, on April 23, 2025. Chad was a beloved husband, father, son, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

Chad was born in Kennewick, WA on October 1st, 1966 to Milo Dean and Betty Lou Cannedy. He graduated from Kamiakin High School in 1986. He loved the Tri-Cities and lived in the area his whole life. He worked for Welch's for many years until the Kennewick plant closed in 2006, and most recently worked as a Corrections Officer for the Department of Corrections.

Chad will be remembered for the way he could light up any room he entered. He had a big personality and loved to make others laugh. He was kind and generous, and loved by all who knew him. His favorite pastimes were basketball and football, his favorite teams being the Boston Celtics, Seattle Seahawks, and Notre Dame.

Chad is survived by his wife Josie Cannedy, mother Betty Cannedy, son Cade Douglas (and Lindsey Douglas), daughter Ella Cannedy, niece Morgan Cannedy, nephew Drew Cannedy (and Darra Cannedy), uncle Bruce Somers, aunt Cindi Somers, uncle Denny Somers, aunt Debbie Somers and countless family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Darron Cannedy, father Milo Cannedy, grandmother Evelyn Somers, and uncle Rodney Somers.
