Katie (Catherine) Tibbs my Dearest Mother is with our Lord. She never faltered from loving Him. Since I can remember and (by example) she taught me to be thankful for our Blessings. Even when she could barely breathe, she put her hands together every night and prayed. She could no longer see to read, but used to read a chapter a night in the Bible, Misty and Joey gave Jim. She loved her favorite Son-In-Law and he, her. Leonard was by my side each and every day to do what he could to make her life as full as we could. Born in Los Angeles she loved the Tri Cities, she would say she felt she was always on vacation. She had the nicest friends, all the girls she worked with at K-Mart. Marty helped us with so many things. Not to mention her uncanny ability to locate Mother, even when we didn't know Mother was going to the Hospice House. Chuck and Patty were always near. They shared and included their Parents, Children and Grand Children with Mom and Jim. When Mother could no long live alone. It was Patty who took Mother's hand and showed her all the possible senior communities to choose from. She helped with all the move in necessities and shopping to decorate her new surroundings. Only God knows how grateful Mother was and can Bless them for all they did after Jim passed away and through present. Marvene was Mom's close neighbor, best friend and golf buddy. Mother loved living at Parkview Estates. Didn't take her long to become bosom buddies with Dorothy. Playing cards, shopping, encouraging each other, everything. She had many extraordinary friends, through her we grew to know and love many residents. They kept us abreast of all Mother's latest antics, Thanks Bob! Mother loved to give Megan Granola Bars "Candies". Loved BINGO, winking and green eyes. I loved Emily (the Shower Girl) and want to thank her. She treated Mother with respect and gentle reassurance, as if she were bathing her own Mother. Sarita was able to care for Mother's hair, when she didn't have her hearing aids in and was connected to oxygen. They shared so many sweet hugs. Thank you. Mother's Sister and Brother-In-Law gave her 3 nieces and a nephew, all four Ministers. She was so proud that they were also involved with The Great Passion Play in the Ozarks. Kay and Marvin came to visit Mother twice while she was at Parkview Estates, what a special treat for all of us. We just celebrated Mother's 97th Birthday. She passed away on December 29th. Having a difficult time making up my mind to enlist Chaplaincy Hospice Care, I consulted Mother. Her only regret was that she could no longer see her beloved Doctor Hamner. For easy, warm accessibility, we hope to have a Goodbye get together in Parkview's Chapel 2nd floor on January 12, at 2PM. Interment ONLY will be at Gravesite on January 11th, at 2PM next to Jim in Military Section.
