Carolyn Lee Tucker Raymond

Beloved wife and mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Carolyn passed away at home on March 14, 2026, after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Robert Raymond, by her daughters Shannon (Michele) Tisdel and Deborah (Douglas) Tisdel, by her sons Michael (Michelle) Pool and Darin (Nancy) Tisdel, her stepson Ian (Cynthia) Raymond, her stepdaughter Caitlin (Jonas) Calsbeek, and by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, on December 12, 1946, Carolyn moved to and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She loved animals, raising snakes under her bed believing that her parents did not know, setting pet rats free along the canals in Phoenix, and riding horses in barrel races. Her home was always full of cats, dogs, parrots, and other critters. She became very active in the USA Boxing, America's amateur boxing program to develop Olympic competitors, and eventually rose to become the only nationally certified woman timekeeper then in the program. The children she helped through USA Boxing will recall her fondly as Mrs. T. She later became active in various bagpipe bands in Tacoma, Washington. At her and Robert's wedding in 1997 she was escorted in by the Pipe Majors of two separate bands.

She worked as an office manager for a door manufacturing company in Everett, Washington, and later became a legal secretary and a judicial assistant. Then later, she became the owner and proprietor of The Piper's Lady, a Scottish pub in Olympia, where she arranged for many talented Celtic musicians to perform.

She was a grand lady and will be missed.

Carolyn's requiem Mass will be held April 27, 2026, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Kennewick, Washington, beginning at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life will follow in St. Joseph's Dillon Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
