Carol Lynn (Longaker) Parks, 79, of Kennewick, Washington went home to Jesus on July 29th after a brief battle with liver disease.

Carol was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life and held an unwavering faith in God. She loved to travel far and wide and until most recently, was still RVing with friends and family. She looked forward to gathering with friends for spirited card games and enjoyed walking her dogs, Maddie, Marley, and Cooper. Not a day went by when Carol didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her - her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.

Carol was predeceased by her parents Lyle and Marjorie Longaker, her sister Christina Morris, and her beloved husband Derald Parks. She is survived by her sister Cindy Longaker and brother Mike Longaker (Tanya), her two children Kathy Powell and Karl Sampson (Jenny), granddaughter Natasha Sampson, granddog Chewie Powell and great-granddaughter Korra Hammer.

A graveside service will be held September 8, 11:00am at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S Union St., Kennewick. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at the Highlands Grange Park Picnic Shelter.
