CAROL ANN FOSTER DORMAN NEWCOMB Carol Newcomb, 68, of Benton City, died June 19th, 2011 at the Hospice House in Kennewick, surrounded by her family. She was born August 26, 1942, in Pasco to Dale and Anna Foster. She lived in the Tri-Cities for 55 years. Carol was a beloved mother and grandmother, known for her quick wit and kind heart. She worked for many years at the Franklin County District Court as a legal supervisor. Prior to her illness and death, she was an avid beach comber, an accomplished artist, and voracious reader. Survivors include her husband, Ivan; daughters, Debby Yaconetti Frank of University Place and Kim McDowell T.C. of Kennewick; son, Ben Newcomb of Benton City; sisters, Barbara Kerr of Benton City, and Marilyn Richardson of Kurtistown, HI; and two granddaughters, Stephanie and Mallorie McDowell. She also leaves behind beloved Corren Spargur Neil of West Richland. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family thanks the wonderful people at Hospice House and suggests donations be made to Hospice at The Chaplaincy, Kennewick. Carol requested no services, but family will gather this summer to celebrate her life.
