CAROL SUE GRIMES, (SUSIE Q) Born Dec 16, 1944 Pass Nov 8, 2017 A sweet soul went to Jesus at the age of 72. Susie was born in Chillicothe, Missouri to William Denard Grimes and Lida Estil Munson. At a young age, she moved with her parents to Washington living in Kennewick until the last 10 1/2 years. At that time, she went to live with her sister, Sylvia, in Rochester, WA until her death. They said when Susie was born, she would be better off in an institution. Little did they know the joy and love she would give to our family and friends. She taught us compassion, perseverance, and joy. God made her perfect in every way and as we know, God does not make mistakes. We were blessed to have her in our lives. Susie was our gift from God. Susie worked at Columbia Industries for about 42 years where she did shredded papers and upon her retirement, family members saved papers for her to shred. She loved to draw, color and paint. Family members have many paintings made by Susie. She was a busy lady! A highlight of her life was the Special Olympics which, she loved the 100-yard dash and other Special Olympic activities. Family members were on the sideline cheering her to the finish line She is survived by her sisters, Sylvia and Shirley and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the love and wonderful care given to her by her sister, Sylvia. Sylvia contributed to Susie's happiness and longevity. A memorial will be held at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, November 18th at 2pm.
