Carla Ann Weeks, of Kennewick Washington, went home to be her family's Guardian Angel on August 4th 2023.

Her Daddy (AS she called him) Neil, was waiting at the gates with his big hugs, to welcome her and show her the ropes.

Carla was born on April 11th 1960 to Neil and Velma Sparks in Yakima Washington.  She resided there until the birth of the first daughter Melinda, and then moved to the Tri-cities area in the early 1980's. She married (Mitch Weeks) and became a homemaker. Tragedy struck shortly thereafter, when they lost their son Jason to a stillborn birth. A pain in her heart she carried with her until her last breath. Over the next few years they were blessed with two more children. Ashley, and Mattie. She was a loving, devoted, strong mother and made her children her first priority.

After she became single, She decided to spread her wings a bit and became a Franklin County Reserve Sheriff's Deputy. A job that she took very seriously, and loved. The smile that exuded from ear to ear when she put on her uniform made us all see that she had found her calling. Her dreams of becoming a sheriff were unfortunately  cut short in the later 1990's when an injury prevented her from perusing her career any further. In the mid 2000's Carla spent time as an Armored Car driver, and a Local Events Security Guard. It was there she got to put her booming voice (sprinkled with all the profanity she was notorious for) and huge personality  on showcase for the world to see.

Through all of this, She still remained focused on being the best Mother she could be and making sure the ones around her always knew that she was there for them.

With a heart that was already overflowing ,She started welcoming Grandchildren into this world. Grandma was a name that she wore with pride. She made every effort to be the best she could be to them, and show them that they were so very important to her.

Our mother was brave and kind, loud, and free spirited. Enjoyed her Pepsi, King Mountain's and her occasional jar of frosting, that we were never to know was eaten. Never met a stranger, loved with all her heart, could make you laugh to tears,  and friends quickly became her family. She taught us strength and fearlessness, two things that we are going to need going on this with this next chapter of our lives without her. Her presence will be missed more than words can express.

Carla loved trinkets of all shapes and sizes, collected beanie babies and blown glass figurines. Every piece of jewelry she had, there was a story attached to it. Strange things that no one saw beauty, or importance  in, She always did. We loved her for that, and so very much more.

Carla is survived by her Mother Velma. Daughters- Melinda ( Dan) Murray, Ashley Weeks, Mattie (Junior) Cuevas. Brothers- Neil Jr., Glenn, Donald. Sisters- Diana, Robin, Kim. Granddaughters- Sadie Sparks, Taler Sparks, Tayvia Young, Chloe Murray. Grandsons- Davin Murray, Brandon Murray, Jaxon Cuevas, Jacen Cuevas.

Great Grandchildren- Autumn Martinez, Anthony Cervantes, Haisley Martinez, Kali Brooks, Roman Martinez.
