Carl Albert Anderson, age 95, passed away on November 22, 2024.
He was Born on July 15, 1929 to Axel and Harriet Anderson in International Falls, Minnesota and raised in Little Falls, Minnesota. Carl moved to Portland, Oregon at the age of 11, with his sister Alice, age 13 by train. He married Virginia Mae Wess on October, 6th, 1950. He was then drafted into the US Army and was sent to Camp Hanford. His first daughter was born while he was in the military in 1951.
Carl learned to fly, which was one of his highlights. He would fly to Walla Walla, to Canada, Blaine, Washington, and to Lewiston, Idaho. He'd say to mom, "Let's go to breakfast in Walla Walla, and off they would go.
Carl built an Olympic size pool in his back yard. Many people enjoyed it. His grandchildren still have fond memories of his pool.
He had many jobs such as, timber/lumber mill, butchering, delivering milk, grocery store manager/owner and owner of a slaughterhouse, driving a semi, driving for Ford dealer and working at Hanford as a bus driver. He retired at 66 years of age.
Carl is survived by his children Debra Anderson, Cheryl Naccarato (Mike), Diane Brewer (Craig), Carl Anderson Jr., Jolene Anderson, Lori Munoz (Luis), 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Carl is preceded in Death by wife Virginia Anderson, and grandson Justin Brewer.
A funereal service will be held at Providence Baptist Church, 3180 Clearwater Ave, Kennewick, on Saturday, March 29th, at 11:00am.
