Our dear Mother went to be with the Lord on the morning of August 8th, 2022 at the age of 73. Cara was born July 21,1949 in Missoula, Montana to Vernon and Sylvia Foss. She moved to Kennewick, Washington with her parents and later graduated from Kennewick High School. Cara cherished her family and children. She was a very straight forward woman who spoke her mind. She loved the Lord and enjoyed sharing Jesus with people she met. She liked helping with events at her local church. Cara was a member of T.O.P.S. off and on through the years. She enjoyed working with her hands doing pottery and puzzles. She participated occasionally in the woman's powder puff races. She had a green thumb and loved to plant and take care flowers in her local community garden at the Rosemont Assisted Living Facility. Cara is survived by her children, Barbara Gilbert, Wayne (Lorita) Foss, Shyla Angst, Sheri Dietsch, Issac (Emily) Howard, Susan (Jon) Los, Jeff Steffenson, Donni Steffenson, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her Sister Shar Cooper and two brothers Jerry and Jim Foss. She is preceded in death by her late husband's Hershel Howard and Donald Steffenson, and parents Vernon and Sylvia Foss and niece Alishia. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sept 24th at 11am at Kennewick Baptist Church.
