Capri Renee Spotts passed away September 30, 2010, at the age of 51. Capri was born in Eugene, OR on September 2, 1959 to Pharris and Mary Hughey. In her father?s ministry Capri?s family moved around the northwest while she was young eventually settling in Homedale, Idaho where she attended Junior High and High School, graduating from Homedale High in 1977. She married Stephen Spotts in Homedale on August 27, 1977. They initially made their home in Tacoma, WA, where, in 1979, they welcomed their first son, Jacob. While Steve continued his military service they transferred to Altus, OK later in 1979. In 1981 while in Oklahoma their daughter, Stephanie, arrived. In 1982 they subsequently moved back to Tacoma where in 1985 the youngest son, Zachary, joined the family. The family moved to Mascoutah, Illinois in 1994, returning to Tacoma in 1999. Capri worked in the public schools in both Washington and Illinois. She started with the Franklin Pierce School District as a Library Clerk and while in Illinois she became the Administrative Assistant to the Principal for the Scott AFB Elementary School. Upon her return to Tacoma she was hired by the Bethel School District as the Administrative Assistant to the Principal of Naches Trail Elementary School. Capri had a strong faith in Christ as her personal savior and enjoyed singing hymns and playing the piano for church services. One of her greatest joys was to play the piano in our home filling the air with music and joy. The children learned their great love of music this way. She is survived by her husband Stephen of Kennewick; son Jacob and wife Kristy Spotts of San Antonio, TX; daughter Stephanie and her husband Joshua de los Santos of Kennewick, WA; and son Zachary and his wife Natalie Spotts of Mascoutah, IL; her father Pharris and his wife Ellen Hughey of Aloha, OR; grandchildren Denny and Anna Spotts, Madeline, Jackson and Langston de los Santos, and Samuel Spotts; her brother Markis and his wife Niki Hughey of Kennewick; her sister Melissa and her husband Bill Cornish of Hillsboro, OR; and her nieces and nephews Katie and Hannah Hughey of Kennewick, and Chance, Bo and Mary Cornish of Hillsboro, OR. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 5, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 10th and Union Street, Kennewick
