God Saw you getting tired when a cure was not be. So he closed his arms around you and whispered "Come To Me". You didn't deserve what you went through, so He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful. He only takes the best. We saw you sleeping so peaceful and free from pain. We could not wish you back to suffer than again. Calvin Lee McBride Sr., 73, was born on January 20, 1940 in Hamlet, North Carolina to Marcus and Flossie McBride. He went home to be with the Lord on March 15, 2013. Calvin was a Vietnam War Veteran and served 20 years in the United States Air Force as a military Police Officer. Calvin brought his family to live in the Tri-Cities in 1978 to work out at Hanford, where he worked in several different fields. He retired again and went on to become a transportation officer with the Department of Transportation for Washington. After having a stroke in 1997 he finally retired for good. He then went back to school and got his BS in Criminal Justice. Calvin kept himself busy by, meeting new people, singing karaoke, and reading. He loved to always be on the go. Calvin is preceded in death by his mother, Flossie McBride and his wife of 43 years, Veronica. Calvin is survived by his father, Marcus McBride and sister, Jeanette Brown of Baltimore, MD. His three children, Calvin L. McBride Jr., Granite Falls, WA, Christina Kim Overy-McGreedy (Richard), Benton City, WA, and Angelika Marie Casarez (Gabino Sr.), Pasco, WA. His Grandchildren Marcus McBride, Michael McBride, Mason McBride, Marshall McBride, Anna Casarez, Gabino Jr. Casarez, Elijah Casarez, Veronika Casarez, and Miguel Casarez; great-grandchildren Anatasia Mae Grace Lucido (Marcus), Bronx Raymond McBride (Michael), and Kalvon McBride (Marcus). Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, 314 W 1st Ave., Kennewick, WA 99336 with viewing beginning at 10:00a.m.
