Burnett Frederick Wilson was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 20, 1942 and since his birth, Burnett was called Fred by his family and friends. His parents, Burnett F. Wilson and Patricia Carol (Davis) Wilson were on their way to Hanford, Washington when Burnett entered the world. Fred enlisted in the United States Marine Corp when he completed high school. After two years of active duty, Fred returned home and married Rosemary Ferrell. During their ten years of marriage, they adopted two children, Gary David Wilson and Cherie Joyce Wilson. Fred worked in the (IBEW) International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers building power lines. In 1968 Fred went to work for the Milwaukee Railroad as a conductor/brakeman for the following twelve years.

On August 25, 1974, Fred married Cheryl (Johansen) Wilson. They were married for 52 years. During their marriage, Fred and Cheryl ventured out to Great Falls, Montana for four years, then back to Othello, Washington for four years where Fred went to work for Ag Country. He worked for the company as manager for 20 years mostly in the Tricities, Washington. Fred and Cheryl made their home in the Tricities until they both retired, Fred in 2007 and Cheryl in 2010.

Their next adventure was to live in an RV at the beach in Bandon, Oregon. They lived there for 7 years. Fred loved taking walks on the beach in search of sea treasures. He also loved to sing and joined the Unity Church choir. He sang many times at karaoke on Friday nights at the VFW.

Fred's brother, David Pascal Wilson, preceded him in death as well as both of his parents. Fred is survived by his siblings, Barbara King, Martha Wilson, Mark Wilson, and Patrick Wilson, He is also survived by his daughter, Cherie Wilson and wife Cheryl Wilson. Fred is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
