Obituary

Bruce Michael Allwardt, born June 12, 1941 in Lodi California, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on April 16, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Herman Allwardt, mother, Lorraine Eunice Allwardt, and stepmother, Barbara Tigh Allwardt. Bruce and his two sisters grew up in Fresno, California. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and obtained a BS Degree in Technology at Fresno State University. Bruce worked at General Electric in San Jose for 10 years. In 1977, he went to Energy Northwest in the Tri-Cities, Washington, where he retired in 2005. Bruce enjoyed fishing, hunting, working with his hands, and working with the Boy Scouts. On April 5, 1963 he married Edna June Walthall and they later had a son, Craig Allwardt (Jeanette), who has two children, Renee and Michaela. These two loving grandchildren knew their grandfather could fix anything. Bruce is also survived by his sisters Earlaine Minter Jones (Ron), Karole Ida Kitman, his sister-in-law Eula Jean Charlie, and his nieces and nephews Milton (Jean) Minter, Lorraine Kitman, Jeffery Kitman, and Jeanna John son. Bruce also claimed Brandon Musen as a second son. A remembrance of Bruce will be held June 11th at 2:00 p.m. at West Highlands United Methodist Church h 17 S. Union, Kennewick WA. There will be a barbecue on the back patio for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity, animal shelter, or West Highlands Mission Committee.
