Obituary

Brian Daniel Highbarger, 58, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away on February 16, 2026. Born on September 29, 1967, in Los Angeles, California, Brian lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his passions.

Brian grew up in Kennewick and graduated from Kennewick High School. At the age of 18, he embarked on a career path that would define much of his life by entering the Local 598 apprenticeship program. Over the next three decades, Brian built a distinguished career with the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 598. He was a proud and committed member of the union for more than 30 years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues through his hard work and unwavering dedication.

Outside of his professional life, Brian had a deep love for collecting. His extensive collections included stamps, rare coins, Duesenberg memorabilia, and Hot Wheels cars—each reflecting his keen eye for detail and appreciation for history and craftsmanship. These hobbies brought him great joy and were a testament to his passion for preserving unique pieces of the past.

Brian's greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his loving wife Julie; daughter Marissa; son Jeriss; grandson Ethan; granddaughter Shylee; and great-grandson Ryker. He is also survived by his mother Carole; sisters Amy and Holly; and brother Michael. Brian was predeceased by his mother Susan Highbarger and father Daniel Highbarger.

Brian will be remembered as a hardworking man who was deeply devoted to both his union and his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched through his kindness, dedication, and love.

May Brian's memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Funeral will be held on February 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Mueller's Funeral Home Tri-Cities 1401 S Union Str. A Burial will be held on February 26, 2026, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Douglas Munro Blvd in Cle Elum.
