Obituary

Bobbie Earline Jones, 76 of Benton City, passed away January 20, 2008 at Richland Rehab after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born October 18, 1931 in Windsor, Missouri to Bertie and Gertrude Bourke. Bobbie married Lawrence Gene Jones April 29, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bobbie spent her life as a wife, mother and grandmother. She lived all over the United States and spent four years in Venezuela. Bobbie and Gene retired and moved to Kennewick, Washington in 1989. She leaves behind two daughters Linda Cook of Benton City, Washington and Korby Roger Johnson of Trenton, Illinois; five grandchildren Brandi Gray Crouch of Trenton, Laci Alex Matarazzo, Gene Carla Cook, Amber Cole Gunter and Aimee Jamie Gifford, all of Benton City; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews who all thought the world of her and loved her with all their heart. She is also survived by sisters Margaret Mosby of Gladstone, Missouri, Jean Samspon of Independence, Missouri, Ann Eddie Foulks of Carl Junction, Missouri; brothers-in-law Walter Bobi Jones of Hood River, Oregon, Arthur Jones of Hilo, Hawaii and Robert Bonnie Jones of Klamath Falls, Oregon. She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Gene Jones of 50 years, the love of her life; her parents; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law. Graveside Services will be Friday, January 25, 2008, 1:00pm, at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick, Washington.
