On the morning of February 17, 2015 Beverly passed away peacefully at the age of 74. She was being visited and comforted by family at the time of her passing. Beverly was born and raised in Sisseton, SD to Lyle and Frances Parker. She graduated from Sisseton High School in 1959 and went on to Stewart's School of Hairstyling in Sioux Falls, S.D. Bev worked as a cosmetologist for several years and during this time she met her future husband David Verbarg. They were married in 1963 in Rapid City, S.D. where they resided for 5 years. In 1968 Bev, Dave, and their new baby daughter, Bethany, moved to Pasco, WA where Dave accepted a teaching position with the Pasco School District. Bev stayed at home for several years to raise their two children Bethany and Jason. In 1978 she accepted a position with the Pasco School District as a para-educator at Captain Gray Elementary, later named Rowena Chess Elementary, for a total of 29 years. She enjoyed working with staff and students throughout the years retiring in 2008. Bev and Dave moved to Burbank, WA in 1992. Nothing was more important to her then her family especially her grandchildren, Hannah, Abby, and Kayla. Some of her fondest memories were the countless hours she spent with them pretending in their play rooms hosting tea parties and dressing up. The girls especially loved an ongoing story where a character created by Bev named Witchy Witch encountered new and exciting adventures from her imagination. These stories were their favorites. Bev could not have been a more loving, doting grandmother and as her life ends, the loving memories she created with them comfort us immensely. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Verbarg, her parents Lyle and Frances Parker, and brother, Donnie Parker. She is survived by her daughter Bethany Pierce (husband Kevin) Burbank, WA, son Jason Verbarg (wife Laura) Hooper, Utah, grandchildren, Hannah and Abby Pierce, Corey and Kayla Verbarg, sisters Barbara Hull, Mankato MN, Connie Schooley, Rapid City, SD, Cathy Mettler, Rapid City, SD, brother David Parker, Portland, OR, sister-in-law Kathy Jacoby, Burnsville, MN, brother-in-law Michael Verbarg, Hanahan, SC, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Viewing will be held Friday, February 20, 2015, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick. Bev will be inurned next to Dave at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
