Beverly (Bev) O'Connell, 67 of Pasco, Washington passed away on September 21st, 2025 in Richland, Washington. Bev was born on January 3rd, 1958 in Baker, Oregon to Alvin E. and Marjorie G. Blank (Graves). She was the second of four children. Bev attended kindergarten in Arlington, Oregon. In 1965, Bev's family moved to a small farm in Kennewick, Washington where she was involved in the 4H program and showed sheep along with her brother, Bruce. Her family then moved to Pasco in 1969 where Bev attended Mark Twain. She then went on to Steven's Middle School and graduated from Pasco High School in 1976. During high school she was involved in drama and DECA. She loved to read.

Bev served in the United States Army from 1976 to 1979. She then served in the Washington Army National Guard from December of 1982 to December of 1988 and was discharged at the level of Sergeant. During this time she received decorations for expertise in marksmanship in the use of the M16 rifle. Bev attended City University in Bellevue, Washington and obtained her degree in Bachelor of Science in 1995.

She used her degree in her employment for the rest of her life until she retired, working in environmental labs and Hanford Cleanup. She participated for several years in the fundraiser for Seattle Children's hospital while working at Hanford.

Bev met the love of her life, Dale O'Connell, on December 3rd,1995 through a personal ad in the Tri-City Herald. They built a life together and married on January 23rd, 1999. They enjoyed travelling and were avid kayakers.

Bev made her nieces and nephews the center of her life. She threw parties, attended concerts, dances, and performances. Her great nieces and nephews remember holiday cookie decorating parties where they left with plates full of homemade treats. She organized the annual Blank Golf Classic: their annual family reunion. She loved all manner of arts and crafts including ceramics, painting, floral arrangements, and art made with mixed textiles.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Marjorie Blank.

Bev is survived by her loving husband, Dale O'Connell, her brother Bruce and his children, Brandie (Shaun) and Kelly; her brother Blaine (Kay) and their children Lacey, Jamie (Jaimie), and Ashley (Marcus); her brother Brian and his children J.T., Alex, and Shanna, her nieces Amanda and Jamie (Alonzo); her daughter-in-law Megan (Dylan); her grandson Zane, and her Aunt Shirley Carpenter.
