Beverly Lorraine Fanning died peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2009. She was born March 5, 1924 in Sanator, South Dakota, to Elmer and Grace Milligan. Growing up, she moved around to several different towns in South Dakota. Beverly moved to Kennewick after graduating from business school, following her parents and her brother George. Beverly was married to Thomas M. Fanning on June 3, 1948. Because of flooding on the Columbia River, they had to take a train to get from Kennewick to Pasco for the wedding ceremony at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Beverly and Tom raised their three children in Pasco. Beverly was an excellent homemaker and loved having her grandchildren come to visit. They enjoyed playing Memory, Parcheesi, and croquet together. Beverly was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar Society St. Bridget guild. Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; her eldest son, John; her brothers Elmer Milligan and George Milligan; and her sister Maxine Smith. She is survived by her son Gregory Fanning, and his wife Dorothy, of Pasco; daughter Marcy Miller, and her husband Spence, of Burbank; grandchildren Eddie Rhone and David Vogel, of Seattle, Katie Walker and her husband Brian, of Pasco, Merrie Jo Graham and her husband Jimmy, of Madison, Alabama, and Mathew Fanning, of Pasco; great-grandchildren Madeleine Walker, Grant Walker, and Jameson Graham; and sisters Shirley Greene and her husband Norm, of Hemet, California, and Dorothy Thompson of Arizona.
