Beulah Maude (Watson, Cole) Qualheim, 92, left this earth and our lives on February 6, 2013. She went peacefully in her sleep from age-related causes. Beulah was the oldest of four children born to Hermit and Ola Watson. She was born on April 3, 1920 in Searcy, Arkansas. She was raised on a farm/dairy where her chores included milking the cows, picking strawberries, cotton and other commodities raised on the farm. She married the love of her life, H. Doyle Cole on October 31, 1936. In 1941 they moved to Chicago, and then in 1951 they moved to Kennewick. They raised three children. They were married for 46 years, until his death in 1982. In 1992 she married Carl Robert (Bob) Qualheim, and was married to him until his death in 2010. She was the former owner and operator of the Highland Ranch Market from 1955 until 1980. Beulah also worked at Doyle's parent's store, Cole's Market, on Gum Street in Kennewick prior to buying the Ranch Market. Her hobbies included antiquing, traveling, fishing, sewing, gardening, cooking, square dancing, being with family, crafts, including beautiful jewelry trees and beaded chandeliers ...and occasionally playing the slot machines and computer solitaire. She enjoyed assisting at the Senior Center, was a member of the Kennewick Valley Grange, and a member of the Eastern Star. She also got her GED when she was 70 years old! Beulah is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, H. Doyle Cole 1982. Her 2nd husband of 18 years, Carl Robert (Bob)Qualheim in 2010, her son, Herb (Herbert) Cole in 2004 and his wife Bobbi in 2012, and her brother James Watson and her sister Cora Morgan. Survivors include her daughter, Mary and Orrin Kambitsch of Plummer, Idaho, and her son, Larry Cole and wife Angela of Kennewick. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren Kenny Cole, Belinda Money, Delia Byers, Kevin Kambitsch, Shannon Peterson, and Kandi Kambitsch. She also was extemely fond of her 15 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Guardian Angel Homes in Richland along with Hospice at The Chaplaincy for the extraordinary care they gave to Beulah. A viewing will be on Monday, February 11, 2013, 5-8pm at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, 314 W 1st Ave, Kennewick, WA. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 1pm at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls.
