Betty Evelyn Laverne Templeton Osborne, 87, passed away on April 1, 2014. Betty was born June 2, 1926 in Spray, Oregon to C.W. and Mabel Templeton. Betty lived in Kennewick, Washington for over 65 years after marrying Joe V. Osborne Jr., on June 17, 1945. Betty and Joe had three children, Steve Osborne, (Karen) Kathy Schneider and Leslie Osborne, all of Kennewick. She had five grandchildren, Jay Schneider, Kara Beauchamp (Kennewick) and LTCDR, Drew Osborne, Whidbey Island, WA, Lindsey and Lauren Delashmutt, and four great grandchildren, Jaylee and Tyler Schneider, and Emma and Rowan McCord, all of Kennewick. Betty was predeceased by her husband Joe, brother Raymond Laird Sr., sisters Audra E. Stewart and Lucille Barkyoumb, and niece Karen Chinn. Betty is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ruth Laird, nieces Sharon Swanson, Tiffaney Willett and Tamara Fresquez , nephews Ray Laird Jr., Dale Laird, Trayce Laird and Mark Carpenter and cousin, Ken McLeod. Special thanks to Dr. Wayne Kohan and staff, Columbia Family Medicine, the caring staff at Chenoweth House, where Betty lived for the last five years and was treated like a family member. Thanks also to Dr. Tom Cooper and his staff at Kennewick Life Care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meals on Wheels, Hospice at the Chaplaincy or favorite charity. At Betty's request, there will be no public services.
