Bennie Eugene Santjer, 69, died July 14th, 2021 in Kennewick, Washington. He was born February 29th, 1952 in Sunnyside, Washington to Lester and Harriet Santjer. He went to school in Sunnyside and in Burien where he graduated in 1970. Two days after he graduated, he joined the Navy and was on the aircraft carrier the Oriskany. He married Darla Ihrig and had 2 children; Bobbie and Benjamin. He has 3 grandchildren; Carissa Castilleja, Skyler Castilleja and Shaylyn Santjer. He married Denise Santjer May 27, 1989 in Reno, Nevada. He has 3 stepchildren; Amber, Doland, and Lance. Lance preceded him in death July 25th, 1998. He worked at Hanford 35 years as a cement mason and on patrol. A funeral service will be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow service at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
