Bartlett Jackson Elliott, Sr., age 67, a 36-year resident of Kennewick, Washington, passed away in the early morning of September 5, 2025.

Bart was born on January 13, 1958, in El Paso, Texas, but didn't stay there very long. The son of a military man, Bart lived in countries such as Japan and Greece, as well as on both U.S. coasts in Maine, Virginia, and Washington. He graduated from high school in Virginia and spent some time at Old Dominion College before serving a proselytizing mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Italy Sicily Catania Mission. After returning, he met the love of his life, Peggy Alcorn, and they married in the Seattle, Washington LDS Temple in 1984. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1986 with a degree in Business Management and spent his life working across multiple industries. Bart loved working with his hands, reading, and making memories with all of his family.

Bart is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Couch. He is survived by his father, Harry Elliott, and siblings Sheridan Scott Elliott and Heidi Alcorn, his beloved wife, Peggy, his children, BJ Elliott (Ashley), Cassidy Moon (Jeremy), Andrea Newey (David), Chelsea Elliott, Chase Elliott, Bryce Elliott, and Hannah Elliott-Lindh (Nathan). He also leaves behind 22 beautiful grandchildren.

Bart will be remembered for his strong spirit of independence and faith, as he touched the lives of countless family and friends through acts of service, both big and small. His faith in and knowledge of his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ were the foundation of his life, and his deep understanding of doctrine resonated from his very presence. He was quick to laugh, to tease, and to welcome others into his loving embrace. He loved each of us fiercely, and we carry on his legacy with the same intensity.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 15th, at 10am at the LDS Church Building 4445 S. Olympia St., Kennewick, WA.

Viewings will be open on Sunday, September 14th from 6-8PM at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St., Kennewick, WA, and before the funeral at the church building starting at 9am.
