Barbara Ellen Bowles Duncan, 91, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away on July 17, 2026. Born on September 18, 1934, Barbara lived a full and vibrant life defined by her love for family and her many passions.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reed Duncan; her parents, Jack and Hazel Bowles; her brother, Ray Bowles; and her beloved grandson, Kenneth Reed Hearne.

Barbara is survived by her brother, Allen Bowles of Moscow, Idaho; and her four daughters, who will miss her dearly: Shannon Duncan Hearne (husband Clay Hearne), Julie Duncan Williams, Traci Duncan (partner Jody Simonsen), and Beth Duncan Doyle (husband Daniel Doyle). Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory.

Barbara found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader, a passion for gardening and enjoyed the excitement of bingo and trips to the casino. She loved traveling and cherished the time spent camping with her family. A creative soul, she spent many hours knitting and crocheting. In earlier years, she was often found by the river, enjoying the thrill of arrowhead hunting. Above all, she was a woman who knew how to enjoy the moment, often capping off her day with a quiet glass of wine.

A service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held on Friday, July 24th, at 12:00 p.m. at Mueller's Life Tribute Center, located at 314 W. 1st Ave, Kennewick, WA 99336.

Her warmth, spirit, and stories will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
