Obituary

Ashley Marie Gonzales (June 14, 1992 – February 21, 2014) Ashley Marie Gonzales was born on June 14, 1992 to Max and Odulia Gonzales at Kennewick General Hospital. She was their second of four children. Ashley grew up in Pasco and, after graduating from Pasco High School with the Class of 2010, went on to continue her studies at Eastern Washington University, choosing to major in Electrical Engineering. As a child, she liked to go fishing and grew up playing and coaching basketball with her dad. While at Pasco High School, she enjoyed being a member of the Buddy Club, which helped kids with special needs. Ashley loved spending time with her family and friends, whether it was cheering her sisters on at a basketball game, attending a family barbecue, watching movies or going for a night out. She always had a smile for everyone she was around. Ashley was involved in various activities on her campus, including playing for the Eastern Banshees club rugby team and participating in the Chicano Education Program. She was also an interested lady of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, Inc. Ashley was a great student, and had earned herself a spot on the Dean's List. Ashley is survived by her parents: Max and Odulia; her brother: Anthony; her sisters: Bianca and Jennifer; her grandparents: Julie and Max Gonzales; her grandmother: Adela Jimenez; special aunt and uncle: Livier and Adrian Garcia; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and all of her relatives and friends. Ashley is preceded in death by her cousin, Jazmin Garcia. Ashley, you are loved dearly and will be very dearly missed. The viewing will take place on Wednesday, February 26th, at 5:00 PM with the Rosary to follow at 6:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Parish at 1320 West Henry Street, Pasco. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 27th, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Parish with the burial to follow at City View Cemetery in Pasco. Following the burial, a reception will be held at the St. Patrick Catholic Parish gymnasium.
