Arnett "Arnie" Sullivan was a lot of things to a lot of people. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, friend, coach, and teacher. There are no words that can express just how much he meant to all of us. You cannot summarize who Arnie was in just a few paragraphs, he was a man who positively impacted everyone he encountered. He valued honesty, integrity, and forgiveness. Arnie was born in Mt. Carmel, Illinois on November 30, 1952. In 1972 after a year of college he enlisted into the United States Army where he discharged at the rank of Sergeant. While in the service he served with the 81st infantry, traveling to Germany for a tour and completed jump master school in 1974. While in the service he recognized his calling to further his education and go on to become a math teacher. He graduated from Central Missouri State University and dove into teaching and coaching baseball and football. Coaching was Arnie's passion, he thrived on the field and inspired thousands of young athletes. He was a stern voice and pat on the back, the perfect coach. In 1998 he moved to Washington and continued his legacy of teaching and coaching in the Kennewick school district. In the Tri-Cities he met the love of his life, Joni. Joni made his eyes light up every time she walked into the room. Arnie left behind his lovely wife (Joni), sons (Gabe and Josh), daughter (Casey), and sisters (Doretta and Audrey). Arnie's passion outside of the school and off the field was felt with his fellow sportsman's in the Three River's Bird Dog Club, National Shoot to Retrieve Association (NSTRA), and among bird dog enthusiasts. Services provided by Mueller's Funeral Home with two viewings, Thursday and Friday nights from 5 – 7 pm (January 22nd & 23rd) at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, located at 314 W 1st Ave, Kennewick and a Memorial Celebration on January 24th, 2015 at 1:00 pm located at the Kennewick Red Lion.
