Armando Avila Sr., 62 years old and longtime resident of Pasco, WA went on to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 29, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father Arturo Avila. He is survived by his loving wife Olga I. Avila, his son Armando Jr. (Tanna) Avila of Kent, WA; his daughters Marisol (Roy) Castillo and Julissa (Ben) Palma of Pasco, WA; granddaughter Jazlene Castillo, grandsons Andres and Adriano Avila; his mother Aida Avila, his brothers Alonzo Avila, Abel Avila, Seferino Avila, Alejandro Avila and sister Sally Carrizales, of TX. He was born in Lafayette Indiana and grew up in La Joya TX. In 1973 he married Olga and moved to Washington to settle and start a family. He spent the last 43 years in Pasco, raising his family and providing for them as a dedicated agricultural worker, a career he loved. Through his years, he helped many people and formed close friendships. He loved his family so much, he was so proud of his children and grandchildren, they were the joy of his life. Armando enjoyed spending time with his family and barbequing. He loved to joke and make people laugh. He was always willing to give a helping hand and give of what he had to help others. He was well loved by friends and family and will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm, with the Rosary at 6pm at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home in Pasco, WA. Funeral mass will be held Monday April 4, 2016 at 11am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, in Pasco. Burial to follow at City View Cemetery.
