Ardeth A Jones

Ardeth Alzina Jones (Barrows), 92 passed away April 18, 2026. Ardie was born to Clifford and Dorothea Barrows February 6, 1934, in Dodge, North Dakota. When she was very young the family moved to Coulee Dam Washington where Cliff worked on the dam. Ardie was raised and graduated high school in Coulee Dam whereas a member of the Key Club she served President Dwight Eisenhower coffee when he visited the dam. She was also chosen as Miss Apple Blossom Princess by her fellow students where she was on a float in the annual Apple Blossom Parade.

Ardie met Jerald Jones (Jerry) in high school, and they were marred March 12, 1954. Jerry was in the US Air Force, so they lived in many places including Newfoundland before they settled in Kennewick where they followed the Jones Family after his honorable discharge from the Air Force. They had four children Jeff, Pam (Meehan), Paula (Bradford) - twins and Jackie (Aman) all born at air force bases.

Ardie was totally devoted to her family and had a great love of cooking where she was an expert. While she was not employed when her children were young, she retired from Service America as Kitchen Manager at the Benton County Justice Center. She excelled at this job and won many awards for her service.

Ardie is survived by two of her children Pam Meehan (Kevin) and Jackie Aman (Kevan) 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jerry Jones, son Jeff Jones and daughter Paula (Bradford).

A celebration of life for her will be held Saturday, May 23, at 2:00 at GESA Carousel of Dreams in Kennewick.
