Obituary

Antonia Díaz-Tapia was born September 3rd, 1923, in Ziracuarendiro, Municipio de Villa Morelos, Michoacán. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Antonia was the youngest of 5 children born to Eustasio Díaz and Maria Felicitas Tapia. She was preceded in death by her husband Tranquilino Armenta in 1986. They were married in 1939 and together had 4 children: Silvestre, Victoria, Rosa, and Adolfo.

Antonia was an active woman that loved spending time in the kitchen. In her younger years she loved helping the community, creating delicious traditional Mexican meals for weddings. She enjoyed spending time reading the Bible and taking long walks, even into her old age.

Antonia sadly left us on Sunday, September 10th, 2023, at 4:00 am in the home she shared with her daughter Victoria and son-in-law Hector Garcia. Weeks earlier she had celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by her family and friends. In her transition she leaves behind a wealth of memories and good time to be shared with her friends, family and loved ones.
